With a wealth of experience under his belt, Vlad Muresan arrived at Cleveland SC in 2022, ready to make his mark on the team and the city of Cleveland.
Muresan's journey to Cleveland began in Romania, where he was born and spent his early years. At age 11, he immigrated to America with his family, and his love for soccer soon led him to pursue a career in coaching.
After finishing high school at St. Ignatius, Muresan spent a year playing professionally for CS Zlatna in Romania's lower division. He then returned to Cleveland in 2010 and began his coaching career, quickly earning licenses from the USSF and establishing himself as a rising talent in the coaching world.
Muresan's talent and dedication were evident from the start, and he earned his 'A' license in 2016 at the age of just 24, making him one of the youngest coaches in the United States to achieve this prestigious certification.
Since then, Muresan has served as Technical Director of Liberty Futbol Club in Akron, Ohio, where he helped to develop and mentor young players. He is also the Head Coach of Hawken High School Boys' Varsity program since 2019.
Now, as Cleveland SC's Head Coach, Muresan is eager to bring his passion and expertise to the professional ranks. He is committed to building a winning team and creating a culture of excellence that will make Cleveland proud.
